A MIX OF OLD AND NEW (2)
Discerning house-hunters Marguerite McNulty and her Norwegian-born husband Staale Kvaalen know a good thing when they see it. The couple who previously lived in a trendy semi-detached house in Belfast's Wellington Square, needed to trade up to a family home with the arrival of their daughter Kari. And having loved living in their Belfast home, which was built by the McGinnis Group, they have recently moved into another home also built by the leading developer. Now they are proud owners of a four-bedroom detached house in Bracken Hill in Four Winds. Marguerite explains: "We needed something bigger and didn't mind moving out of the city. You get more house for your money outside Belfast". The pair also managed to bag the show house at Bracken Hill which has ample accomodation for all three of them and had gorgeous decor too. The family home has four bedrooms, en suite to main bedroom, family bathrooom, one reception room, kitchen, utility room and downstairs loo. Apart from a clever design and superior finish, Marguerite said the scheme as a whole is very pleasing to look at. "All the houses are slightly different and there are different types of house to choose from. It makes the development look more attractive," she said.
The couple were on the house-hunting trail for five months before securing their dream property at Bracken Hill. "I really like the decor here. It is lovely," she says. "We bought the curtains that were here, but all the houses in the scheme are painted and carpeted for buyers. It is really well finished with lovely wallpaper on the chimney breast. The colour scheme is very spring orientated so it has a fresh feel to it. We love it."
